During my time at Sequentus, I worked as a pro bono caseworker for 15 months on a mix of matters across different regulatory bodies, including the Nursing & Midwifery Council and the Health and Care Professions Council. I mainly supported the team with preparing for, and conducting follow-ups for, client cases.
Each project gave me hands-on experience with client work, which really helped me build confidence in a new area of law and strengthen my legal understanding. The role was genuinely rewarding — supporting people through difficult times, helping them explain their situations clearly, and making sure they had access to fair and supportive advice.
The work itself was varied: I helped prepare client documents, draft statements, research relevant laws and apply them to specific cases, gather background information, and put together bundles. I learned a huge amount from the lawyers and senior case managers at Sequentus, who were always willing to offer guidance and training, both formally and informally.
I’m really grateful for the opportunity — the experience and QWE I gained were invaluable in working towards qualification. The flexibility of the team also meant I could volunteer while working full-time, which was a big plus and something that makes Sequentus stand out.
EM — QWE Caseworker, 15 monthsThe Sequentus legal team exemplifies excellence in legal education. From the start of the QWE programme, touchpoint interactions and tutorial sessions encourage critical thinking engagement. You are immersed into relevant legal jargon and taught to apply legal principles to real-life scenarios. The on demand real time support, alongside the live workshops, has proven to be invaluable.
KJ — QWE-ST student
As an international online student, I needed access to high quality and reputable legal education without the hassle of bureaucratic onboarding requirements. An added bonus is the ability to undertake remote work that fits around your schedule, 24/7. Sequentus is the right choice for QWE.
