Professional discipline clinic

Join our six-week supervised programme to help nurses and midwives facing NMC fitness to practise proceedings — real cases, real clients, real experience.

Who it's for

Designed for aspiring lawyers who want real casework experience

LLB, GDL or LLM students looking to build a CV with substantive legal work

How it works

Six weeks of supervised casework

1

Case file

You receive a live NMC case — a panel hearing or appeal — and begin reviewing the file with your team.

2

Team collaboration

Weekly remote meetings and a secure messaging platform keep everyone aligned throughout the six weeks.

3

Live casework

Draft arguments, prepare bundles, research procedural issues — real tasks under direct supervision.

4

Sign-off

Comprehensive learning materials, supervision records, and sign-off from a qualified legal professional.

Our team

Supervised by practising lawyers

...with you every step of the way

About Sequentus

Building the next generation of legal professionals

Sequentus is a not-for-profit established in 2022. Our goal is simple — to provide flexible legal work experience to people from non-traditional backgrounds so that they can fulfil their potential.

Over the past eight years, across different organisations, our team have trained thousands of aspiring lawyers in casework methodology, giving them the knowledge and skills to complete meaningful work on client cases. We're proud that our model ensures that clients who would otherwise be denied access to justice can rely on a highly-focused team of qualified and trainee lawyers, while students get access to dynamic, real-life legal experience.

Where your fees go

There are no shareholders and no profit distributions — all of our profit is reinvested in the work: legal representation for clients who could not otherwise afford it, the training programmes, and the secure platforms the casework runs on.
