New dates for our QWE skills training are now on the website for October 2026, January 2027 and April 2027, and candidates can sign up directly.
QWEST teaches the practical skills of running a case: analysing the papers, identifying the issues, and working out constructive ways to move a client forward — at screening, during investigation, or preparing for a hearing.
Candidates who complete the training and the assessment become eligible to take on pro bono casework on active cases. That work matters: this is an area of law with no Legal Aid, where clients cannot recover their costs even when the regulator finds they were not at fault.
Students work across clinical errors, dishonesty, sexual misconduct and violence offences, discrimination, bullying and harassment, lack of competence, and health cases. None of it requires prior medical knowledge.
