Khaled is a qualified lawyer whose main area of practice is professional discipline. He is regularly instructed to represent healthcare professionals in fitness to practise proceedings and leads the legal education programme at Sequentus.
Benjamin Bardell
Case Lawyer // Director
Ben focuses on case preparation for professional discipline hearings and specialises in the early resolution of regulatory concerns. He works closely with students on case strategy throughout the programme.

Rebecca was called to the Bar in 2025, having completed the Bar Training Course LLM including a pro bono placement with Sequentus. She now handles a busy caseload of professional discipline and regulatory matters.

Jenson completed the Bar Training Course in 2026 and undertakes case reviews and hearing preparation for professional discipline and university FTP cases. Jenson manages our education programmes and works with students on QWE assignments.

Sequentus is a not-for-profit established in 2022. Our goal is simple — to provide flexible legal work experience to people from non-traditional backgrounds so that they can fulfil their potential.
Over the past eight years, across different organisations, our team have trained thousands of aspiring lawyers in casework methodology, giving them the knowledge and skills to complete meaningful work on client cases. We're proud that our model ensures that clients who would otherwise be denied access to justice can rely on a highly-focused team of qualified and trainee lawyers, while students get access to dynamic, real-life legal experience.

Where your fees go
Sequentus is not-for-profit. Every pound we collect goes back into the work we do — not to shareholders or profit distributions.
Fees fund legal representation for clients who could not otherwise access it, the development of our training programmes, the secure platforms that underpin our casework, and the mental health support we provide to our student cohorts.
Frequently asked questions
No prior experience is required. We welcome students at all stages, from first year undergraduates to those who have completed their professional training. You will receive comprehensive learning materials and full supervision throughout.
Yes — all casework, meetings and supervision sessions take place remotely, so you can participate from anywhere in the world.
Work carried out under the supervision of a qualified solicitor can count towards QWE under the SQE framework. We will discuss your individual circumstances and provide the appropriate documentation.
Most students commit around three to five hours per week, though this varies depending on the demands of the case and your own pace of working.
We run programmes on a rolling basis throughout the year. Contact us to find out when the next cohort begins.
